Sunday, July 4 -- Important Worship Changes
New Time (9:00) and New Place (First Congregational)
The 4th of July comes on a Sunday this year, complete with the Mayor's Parade in the morning, and picnic gatherings all day long and all over town. In keeping with the holiday's spirit of community, we will meet together with First Congregational Church to share scriptures, prayers, songs, and Holy Communion. The meeting will begin at 9:00 (instead of our usual 10:30) and will be located at the First Congregational sanctuary (corner of Central Avenue and Chestnut Street). Pastors Jack Buckley and Laura Rose invite our church families and our Alameda neighbors to begin the 4th with a focus on faith. (full story)
